Know Your Rights

Romans 15:13

“May God, the source of hope, fill you with all joy and peace by means of your faith in him, so that your hope will continue to grow by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

In Bible class a question was raised that asked , “What are your rights as a believer?” This scripture tells us about some of the things we are entitled to as believers. One thing we are entitled to is hope. As a believer you have the right to hope. So why do we walk around as if there is no hope? In the book of Jeremiah 29:11 the word says, “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” There is hope for you my sister and brother, so grab it and hold on to it when satan start feeding you lies to discourage you. You are an inheritance of the Lord Jesus Christ, so stop feeding into satan’s illusions of who you are. You are the child of the Most High King. In Ephesians 1:11 it says, “In [Christ] we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will.”  We also have a right to joy, joy the world cannot give or take away. Psalms 28:7 says, “ TheLordismystrengthand shield. I trust him with all myheart. He helps me, and myheart isfilled with joy. I burst out in songs ofthanksgiving. So rejoice today, don’t be sad because God has blessed you in more ways than you can count. He has pulled you out of darkness into the marvelous light. This is enough to be joyous about because you have gained eternal life. Another thing we have the rights to is peace. He has given us peace that surpasses all human understanding. He said in John 14:7 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Take hold of the peace He has given you and live a life of freedom not bondage. Our God has given you freedom. The Word of God says whom the Son sets free is free indeed. Our God owns everything! There is nothing He cannot due except fail. So trust Him today and abound in the power of the Holy Spirit.

God bless.
