Our Plan Vs God's Plan

Proverbs 21:2

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,

But the Lord weighs the hearts.”

Many times people think they are right or they have great intentions of being right but to be honest, they didn’t really seek the Lord’s advice in the matter. People take some of what the Lord says in His word and run with it the wrong way. Then they wonder why the people didn’t receive it as intended or why what they were doing didn’t go well. Some people are looking for that human pat on the back instead of God’s approval. Well the reason things are not going according to your plan is just that,  it is YOUR PLAN. You may think what you are doing is right and it was implemented the right way, but you forgot to do the main step when trying to do something for the Kingdom and that is to consult God in prayer, fasting and supplication. We must learn to seek His will and plan before moving so it will not just look good to man but it will look good to the Father and He is well pleased. The word of God says in Colossians3:23 “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” When we do things with a mind of wanting to please the Father then He will look at you and say well done thy good and faithful servant. This is what I want Him to say about me at all times. I know I fall short many times because when I’m in self mode instead of God mode, I feel down and start speaking words like, “people are so unappreciative for what I did. I know next time I’m not going to even worry about it. I just need to sit down and not do nothing. I just need to be like Pastor’s wives who sit on the front pew and wear a pretty hat.” If you notice all the words have “I” in them and when you are operating in “I” and not in”God” you are in trouble.  As Christians we want to please the Father. We want Him to pat us on the back. We do not want Him not pleased with the content of our heart toward Him. I want everything I do to be pleasing and acceptable unto the Father who is the author and finisher of my faith. I want Him to smile on me and continue to walk and talk with me. I want to be in His will for my life in everything I do and say. Don’t you?  So when you are so pleased with yourself and feeling you’ve done this great job, stop and ask God, “Are you pleased with me?”

Be blessed!
