The Duty of the Called

1 Corinthians 6:20 says, “You were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” That is to say you were not saved for your own satisfaction or glory, but for the glory of God. You were not chosen and set a part to do nothing for the Kingdom. When Christ died for you, He died so you could have a choice to choose whether you wanted eternal life in hell or heaven. He gave His life so you could go tell others not just by lip service but through your actions. We are commissioned to go and tell others about Christ , baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We were bought with a price to serve God by letting our light shine so that men may see the Father through us. If you never open your mouth about this great God we serve then you are not fulfilling the job you have been called out to do. If you don’t put into practice what you were called out to do then you are not fulfilling the job you were set a part to do.

Galatians 5:13

“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.”

The Lord gave His life for your freedom and so you could help others find this same freedom. Like a friend told me once, “If you knew of a good sale that would save me money, you would tell me by every way you could think of.” This is the same way we should be telling others about a Savior that can save them from a burning hell if they accept Him into their life. This is the news we should be shouting everywhere we go. No one should have to make us or pump us up to do what we already know is our purpose in this life. We have been set free to be selfless not selfish! So now you know, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to make a change in the people you meet by telling them about a man who gave up immortality to be mortal so He could die to save them from a burning hell or are you going to keep silent? It is my prayer today that you will embark on a new journey to take your found freedom in Jesus Christ to serve others by telling them about Christ and showing them Christ through your actions.
