Our Road Map

There are millions on top of millions of books in the world, but the Bible is the only book that reveals things from the past, present and future. Everything you want to know is in the Word of God. There is nothing you are going through right now, you can't find the answer to or instructions on the best way to handle that situation.  The Bible is our road map through life but one problem is that we don't know how to read it and we allow things to get in our way from getting a true understanding of His Word.

Romans 15:4

“For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope.”

The Bible is an easy read, especially now that we have different interpretations of the Bible. Many scholars have given us insight on the scriptures in the Word of God. Another problem we have as it pertains to the Bible is that we leave it as the last resort. We will ask everyone else for help or read other books before we pick up the Word of God. Why do we leave the Bible, our road map, as our last resort? I think because we live in a quick fix society. The Bible takes us step by step through a process on how to get to the final solution or understanding of a particular situation.  Many times we don't want to go God's route, but His route is the best route. You would hit less potholes if you just go the way the Savior is directing you to go. You would even get to where He is leading you quicker if you just trusted the map He left behind for you to follow.

If you are tired of being lost, pick up the Word of God and read it for your direction.  That is another remarkable thing about the Word of God. You and I can read the same passage of scripture, but God will reveal its meaning especially tailored to the direction He wants us to go.  His Word is unchangeable .  His Word can be trusted. Why don't you pick up the Word of God today and ask God to reveal His path for you. His scriptures will give you hope and encouragement for today and tomorrow. So pick it up and find the answers to your questions.
